Stories Written in Blue: My Why 💙

Welcome to my blue world, where stories are written in shades of blue. Both literally and figuratively. I’m Madaleine C. Blue, and I’m here to help you understand why I write the way I do.

I’ve been writing my whole life. It started in my teenage years when I wrote fantasy, and I eventually wrote my first novel. After a long break during my transition into adulthood, I found my way back to reading romance. And that rekindled my passion for writing.

But what does blue mean in my stories and persona? Blue has always been my favorite color, symbolizing the mix of my identity. Blue, like the sea and the mountains, represents the balance I feel as a German-Italian. I’m drawn to both, and just like that mix, it serves as the perfect backdrop for the stories I want to tell.

My characters experience love in its purest form, the highs of hope and the lows of despair like falling into the deep, blue sea.

Through my writing, I want my readers to have a good escape, while still feeling something real. I want them to cry, laugh, and even fall in love with the imperfect characters I create. Most of all, I want my readers to be inspired by the characters’ journey, just as I am inspired every time I sit down to write.

So, why did I start writing after all these years? In my darkest, deepest sea times, writing brought me back.

The world needs more love, healing, and understanding, and I hope that through my stories, I can offer that.
